Process

From brief to findings pack

A clear sequence for financial audits of applications so controllers know when interviews, samples, and draft reports arrive.

Planner and financial documents arranged on a desk
  1. Brief & conflict check. You name modules, entities, and periods. We confirm independence and propose materiality for discussion.
  2. Scoping workshop. A half-day session with finance and application owners locks the sample approach and evidence list.
  3. Evidence room setup. Read-only extracts, access matrices, policies, and cut-off calendars land in a shared folder or on-site room.
  4. Walkthroughs & sampling. Field teams observe posting paths and test selected transactions, waivers, and adjustments.
  5. Interim exceptions. Material findings are discussed early so management can gather responses before the draft hardens.
  6. Findings pack & close. Final report, workpaper index, and closing conference—plus an optional verification visit after remediation.

  • Named application owner for each module in scope
  • Override logs and approval matrices
  • Capitalisation policy if intangible costs are included
